International Travel Risk Management Training for Taiwanese NGOs
Asia Citizen Future Association launched the "International Travel Risk Management Training for Taiwanese NGOs" project in January 2024 to provide tailor training for Taiwanese civil society organizations having plans to travel to Southeast Asia countries. By understanding the trend of closing civic space in the region, ACFA aims to enhance organizations' skill of creating their travel security protocols. After completing the first round of the training for 2 NGOs, ACFA has started the second round of recruitment now!
How to apply?
From now until April 3, 2024, you are welcome to write to public@acfa.tw to register for this training. Our staff will provide the security analysis questionnaire link and appointment meeting time via email with you!
Why do Taiwanese civil society organizations need to participate in ACFA's International Travel Risk Management Training for Taiwanese NGOs Project?
In recent years, with the trend of globalization and regional cooperation, exchanges between Taiwan and Southeast Asian civil societies have increased, and the need for Taiwanese civil society organizations to travel to Southeast Asia has rapidly increased. However, as the closure of civic space in the region intensifies, transnational repression has become a risk for travelers to Southeast Asia. The "International Travel Risk Management Training for Taiwanese NGOs Project" developed by Asia Citizen Future Association not only enhances Taiwanese NGOs' understanding of closing civic space, expansion of digital authoritarianism, transnational repression, and local and regional human rights issues in Southeast Asia, but also aims to improve Taiwanese civil society organizations' awareness of travel risk assessment. ACFA assists Taiwanese civil society organizations by providing tailor training to local NGOs and facilitate the formulating of the organization’s travel safety protocols.
